The IIID Max FiberX PA6/66+CF15 is an engineering-grade, carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon filament built for the most demanding 3D-printing applications. Formulated with a high-performance PA6/PA66 copolymer blend and reinforced with 15% short carbon fibers, this filament delivers an exceptional balance of strength, stiffness, heat resistance, and dimensional stability — making it a true alternative to machined plastic parts for functional end-use components.

The PA6/66 copolymer base offers improved toughness, wear resistance, and chemical resistance compared to standard nylons, while the carbon-fiber reinforcement significantly increases rigidity, reduces shrinkage and warping, and provides a premium matte black industrial finish that hides layer lines.

Ideal for engineering prototypes, automotive and drone components, industrial jigs and fixtures, robotics, tooling, and high-load functional parts, FiberX PA6/66+CF15 is the go-to choice when printed parts need to perform under mechanical stress, elevated temperatures, and real-world operating conditions.

Each 500g spool is vacuum-sealed with desiccant and shipped in moisture-proof packaging to preserve performance — nylon is <u>highly hygroscopic</u>, so we recommend drying before use for optimal results.

Key features:

  • Carbon-fiber reinforced (15%) PA6/PA66 nylon copolymer
  • High tensile strength and stiffness for load-bearing functional parts
  • Excellent heat resistance and thermal stability
  • Low warping and high dimensional accuracy versus unfilled nylon
  • Superior wear and chemical resistance
  • Matte industrial finish that hides layer lines
  • 1.75mm diameter, 500g spool with tight ±0.05mm tolerance
  • Vacuum-sealed with desiccant for moisture protection
  • Compatible with FDM 3D printers equipped with a hardened nozzle and heated bed

Recommended print settings:

  • Nozzle temperature: 260–290°C
  • Bed temperature: 80–100°C
  • Print speed: 30–60mm/s
  • Hardened steel nozzle required (carbon fibers are <u>abrasive to brass nozzles</u>)
  • Enclosed chamber strongly recommended for best accuracy and layer bonding
  • Dry the filament before printing (e.g., 80°C for 6–8 hours) for optimal results

Best suited for: engineering prototypes, automotive and drone components, robotics, tooling, industrial jigs and fixtures, and high-load functional end-use parts.

Note: This filament contains carbon fiber and requires a hardened nozzle. Because nylon absorbs moisture from the air, drying before printing is essential for consistent quality.
